We’ve quite a few around here and I love them – they remind me every day that we have “free” energy available and that we can care for the planet. By the way Garry your videos are getting better produced with each one! Well done!

i can see drax from my garden..id rather see turbines anyday.the noise of a turbine cant compare to the noise of coal trains trundling by all day not to mention when drax vents the steam, you’d think it was going to blow.
well said.

Its hard for workers to retrain, move, if they loose their jobs at the coal plant, oil field, or gas drilling rig. Livelihoods at stake in the fossil fuel extraction, process, delivery, convenience. Wind & solar is gaining in popularity. Money managers shareholders have amounts of capitol invested in fossil fuel they’re threatened by alternative electricity production. IMHO wind & solar should be produced closer where power is being consumed. Parking lots, rooftop office buildings, factory roofs

I like windmills. At first I felt a bit guilty about it because everyone else seemed to be more concerned for the environment than me but I soon realised that a lot of that concern was about the ‘environment’ on their own doorstep and, like you pointed out, it was OK to build wind farms where they couldn’t see them. There is a row of windmills I pass often and I think they are really majestic.
Best Wishes, Brendan.
